Barbara
has been raising and showing dogs since she was 17 years
old (about 50 years ago). Her first breed was Toy poodles
and after finishing many many champions she decided to
switch breeds. When the AKC recognized Shih Tzu's I decided
to raise and show them. After about 6 years there were
some health problems in the breed and I met Joanne of
Joanchens Maltese. Joanne mentored me in the breed...
that was about 35 years ago and I was also mentored by
my aunt Hazel Hamm who was an excellent breeder of Maltese
and was a AMA member for a long time. In the last 10 years
I have been interested in Yorkies. We raise both pet and
show puppies. Please
